try Planescape Torment
-> infinity engine like Baldurs Gate
this game is in my personal top ten
try Outcast - i recently bought a low price
version and had a lot of fun with this game

Nox is more like Diablo then it's like BG. If you are into Hack&Slash then it's a good choice. If you are more into roleplaying then Torment is an excelent game. Not only is it in my top ten also. It's even on number one.
You could try Icewind Dale as well of course. Kinda linear and more oriented towards Hack&Slash then BG, but less then Diablo. It also uses the Infinity Engine.
And then there is Gothic, but it's only available in a German version at the moment. But definitely something to wait for.

Well, I am looking for a good game too. Here is my one requirment though: NO REAL TIME COMBAT. I am tired of the diablo type game that has seemed to flood the market. I am playing Fallout I & II again till I can find something good again. *sigh*

If u like Fallout and turn based combat try Jagged Alliance 2 ! this game has a lot of dark humor, ca. 50 different characters and is really a challenge.
