OK, I don't know why I'm confused, but I got the key from Merdarion that will supposedly bring me back to town. But I don't know where I'm supposed to use it. The only places I could possibly see were the grated off area with a teleporter behind it and a potential stone door on the opposite side of the room. Neither seem to be interested in a key, nor is there any place to stick one in the area. Where am I supposed to be going? |

There is a room with a rectangular pit.....normally Cronos stands in this room, but not always......it is the room just before the portal room. Anyway there is a door and behind it is a teleport thingy and a chest.
Small warning: If you did not kill the orc and wolf in the cave near Khorinis, be prepared to run or fight quickly when you use the teleporter.

Better way is to use a transformation scroll before walking through the teleporter. That way the orc and the wolf won't attack you, just don't transform to a sheep lol
