The trainers in Ultima 9 are pretty spread out.
You start with level 1 in every weapon type and can learn from each progressive master.
1-Handed Sword Trainer:
Level 2 - Keller in Lord British's Castle
Level 3 - Old Jak in Valoria
Level 4 - Lyssa in Serpent's Hold
I prefer two-handed however. The spin move is very nice. "I killed 6 goblins with one blow!"
You won't learn that until you reach Moonglow however.
If you wish to know more, then ask in the General CRPG section of this board and I will answer further questions there. No reason to post a bunch of U9 stuff in the Gothic 2 forum. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!
What do I have to show for my hard work? A piece of paper! Wee!

Morrowind has no precanned combinations.
As long as you're playing with the 'use best attack always' feature OFF, you do control whether you're swinging, thrusting, or chopping the weapon. Each method has a different damage potential for each weapon, as well as different speeds and animations.
So you can make your own combinations, such as a side-step slash followed by a spinning thrust, but you'll have to do all the work yourself. Probably would look pretty cool in the pseudo-3rd person view though. |
