D3DIM700.DLL error

just installed the patch and the game finally started to load. But when it gets to the second movie (the one in the throne room, after the underwater movie), it freezes up and the screen grays. Then it crashes to desktop and tells me that there was an error with "D3DIM700.DLL."

Here are my specs:
WinME, ATI Radeon VE 64MB, AMD Athlon 1.2Gigs, DirectX8.1, All the latest Drivers, the latest english patch (1.08k, i think), all sound and weather/fog disabled.

at least i'm not getting the access violations any more...
