This is like asking who is to date better: blondes or brunets? Its all personal taste so unless we all agree on one person who will decide what is best for us (and we going to believe him without doubting), that question (and many others) will never be answered.
But I can tell you what I like better comparing to the other, brunets – final answer

While I enjoy every kind of (well made) battle I prefer turn-based because only there you can use advanced tactics - I mean really develope a good Strategy and use it. TB gives the game more Depth. _________________ "Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule."

At my age, I need TB. My reflexes and reactions are nowhere near good enough for Real Time!! _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

I like all of them equaly. It depends what mood I am in.
I have played amazing games from each battle system, so neither is realy better than the other. _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |

Did somebody call my name? I hereby declare that turn-based is better. Like Corwin, I'm slow of hand and slower of mind... _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

I personally like Real Time Twitch-based battles. Particularly like those in Gothic, not like those in Diablo. But I still like TB battles too, so I'm not extremely partial to one or the other. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

Sorry, could not vote you did not have enough choices or a neutral choice.
I like all 3
Turn-Based(Wizardry, Baldurs Gate, Dragon Quest,Final Fantasy Tactics)
Real-Time(Diablo, Morrowind, Arx Fatalis)
Real-Time/Active Battle (Phantasy Star Online, KOTOR) _________________ Between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities…there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars…Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand…to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandaled feet. - Robert E. I like both systems as long as they're well done. _________________ Give me the shadows, shield me from the light, and I shall let nothing pass in the darkness of the night. |
