Oh gawd, Davo's thrown a spanner of doubt into the workings of my top 10 list, with the mention of Out Of This World (which I knew as Another World), a game so good I get all teary-eyed at the mere mention of its name(s). I loved Outcast too. And I don't think I've heard of Killing Time, but if it involves killing ghosts with a frying pan, I feel I must investigate.

So many other great games.i have to say that Pools of radiance and Lords of the rising sun as they deserve a mention.oh oh oh and the MYST series

Front Page Sports Football (95 probably my favorite)
Out of the Park Baseball (up to version 6 now)
Hight Heat Baseball 2001
Gothic I
Knight of the Old Republic I
Magic Candle I
Diablo
Master of Orion
Wizardry I (for nostalgic reasons)
Half Life II

Ive played sooooooooooooo many games that Im sure I left something out (like Thief), but those are some of the games I spent the most time on I think

9. Myst games (sort of embarrasing, but well, there it is)

And in an honorable mention, Metal Gear Solid. @ curios: I was so glad to see someone else had Longest Journey on their list!

1. Baldur's gate 1 and 2 (must have wasted a year of life playing and replay these games).
2. Civ II
3 Master of Orion
4 Pirates! (orginal version havent played the modern yet)
5. Fallout series
6 AD&D gold box series (Pool of Radience, Curse of Azure Bonds)
7. Wing Commander 3
8 HoMM 2 & 3
9 Falcon 3.0
10 Deus EX

These are all the games that I burnt considerable time on and were addicted too at one point.

1. Ultima 7 part2 + SS (Amazingly creative story)
2. Wizardry 6 (Best dungeon crawl ever, great puzzles)
3. Ultima 7 + FoV (Awesome and non-linear)
4. BG2 + ToB (Epic quest and duration)
5. Fallout 2 (Great setting and mood)
6. Planescape: Torment (Solid story and characters)
7. Ravenloft: Stone Prophet (Truely great story, very solid dungeon crawl)
8. Might and Magic: Worlds of Xeen (huge, classic style RPG)
9. Gothic2 + NOTR (Loads of fun, very detailed world)
10. Realms of Arkania Blade of Destiny (Best & Biggest in the series)
