I ex-ported my guy and then im-ported it (then I started to a new game)

My question is I did not have the letter , and I was wondering what is the command for it.

I don't know what the command line for the letter is.

But just start a new game, then drop the Letter to the Mages. Then import your character. Pick up the letter, and Export your character, again.

Question�What does exporting then importing the character do for you?
