What kind of character(s) are you playing?

Hi

Just being curious.

I'm playing a survivor, now at level 21, specialiazing in backstabbing with dagger.
He does not use any magic (except restoration) and a few warrior's skills.
He mostly specialize in backstabbing, lockpicking, walk in shadows
(don't remember the exact skill name) and various useful survivor skills.

Here is my end game character stats:

Name: Megan Mirlock (female)
Level: 50 (mage)
vitality: 620
magic: 1675

strength: 100
agility: 100
intelligence: 155
constitution: 110

Lightning Resistance - 165
fire resistance - 170
poison resistance - 120
spirit resistance - 175

(all the stats include bonuses from various armors, items & weapons).

My character did act like a divine god. At the wasteland & last dungeon, no monsters can actually hurt me character bad with spells (she highly resistants to spells) except powerfull melee attacks - but still they were very difficult to hit her in melee since she is very good at avoiding (agility); most of the time she just standing there casting all kind spells, summoning, lightning, fire, poison, freeze, divine spells - and all the while monsters tries to hit her, usually successfull in 1 from 10 of their attacks. Lower level monsters can't hurt her at all.

First time through I played a female warrior.

Character

I am playing as a Survivor (male). BTW, I like the idea of slightly different starting stats for male and female.

I have a dagger for backstab, meteorstrike...very useful against skellies and the like s far. I have also got restoration and repair skills.

I am only level 6 so far and have just completed the catacombs. I am now wandering off to find Alix the captain in a camp to the south east to arrange an escort for the healers.

I read some reviews in mags about this game and to be honest, it didnt do to well. However, I listened to you guys and bought it on the strength of that.

I can see how there is some comparison to Diablo during combat, but how else could the combat be achieved ? Anyway, being a bit "Diablo-like" is not really a bad thing....

I really rate this game a lot. It is very immersive as far as story and character interaction is concerned. That is importatnt to me anyway.

I prefer the isometric view to the first person view, Dont know why, but I just do.

Anyways, I am looking forward to the game opening up and keeping me enthralled for the next couple of months.

Regards,

Hexmaster
