Desperately looking for a classic RPG

I'm looking for a more or less conservative roleplaying game with an unsophisticated Tolkienesque Dwarf-Elf-Halfling-world, maybe with a 1st-person perspective and - above all - with the possibility to create your own party at the beginning of the game and/or with a possibility to pick up some NPCs later.

The are a dime a dozen - anyhow that kind of RPG without puny graphics and a publication date of 1982+ is very rare.

I liked Morrowind, Gothic (2) etc., too - but what I really miss is a recent game like Realms Of Arkania 2: Star Trail (Party, 1st-person perspective, D&D, good story, dragons and stuff etc.) with nice graphics.

Maybe GODS: Lands of Infinity has the potential to become like the nonexisting (?) game I just described.

And Grimoire is getting very close to release, so stay tuned here for all the latest news. Till then, try Wiz 8 as has been suggested.
