Problem with the game crashing..... |
|
I have a problem with the game crashing after piercing the fifth heart of the sleeper, is this the end of the game or is it just a problem I am having, and if not the end how can I fix this problem ? |

hmm...don't know what to tell you. it's definitely not "the end." never had it crash that far into the game. do you see the ending cinimatics, or does it crash straight away? _________________ =Follower of Righteousness=

After you stab the last heart the ending cinematic plays and that's it. You can exit Gothic and find the movie file to play it and see it. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

True, it would be nice to see things in order. However, to my knowledge, that's is the only way around this particular bug. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

The story will continue in Gothic 2. _________________ =Farseer=

You´re missing absolutely nothing if you download the Bink player from www.radgametools.com and watch the last FMV. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

but imagine the suspense building as you plunge each blade into each heart, slowly wetting your lips, your palms sweating, feeling the heat of the sleeper's pyrotechnics singing the hair on your neck, nearing the final heart...
...then quitting to windows and watching the ending. it's so....spirit crushing, ya know? _________________ =Follower of Righteousness=

Okay, 512MB is of course enough. The Radeon 8500 is also fine. 900 MHz is okay, but 100 MHz more wouldn´t hurt.
You could start checking the frame rate. The command can be found in the console part of our cheat guide.
Walk from the OC entrance to Thorus. If the frame rate stays above 20 fps (20-25 fps is practically the limit) you should increase the resolution or activate FSAA. If it´s still below 20 you´ll have to squeeze some speed out of your machine. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |
