Might and Magic 8

Having only previously played Mandate of Heaven, my initial impression was the more demanding first stage, where you are stranded on an island at war, with no other option than to escape via an monster and trap infested temple, unforgiving to Day of the Destroyer newcomers. However, the completion of this task opened up a whole new expanse of monsters, weapons and abilities. The initial meeting of the new characters unlocked after the temple stage is foreboding, as their stats, if you have the ability to read them, are in a whole new league to the lizard men of Dagger Wound! However as your levels and abilities progress into there hundreds, you look not for expierince to complete the game, although that helps, but resistance amulets as I found that the crystal monsters biggest advantage was their ability of paralysis. After saving the world though I found that the biggest challenge wasn't the tasks the story line had to offer, but the completion of the lord level on arena. I had geat difficulty completing this, but found the answer on the game box front cover, as all the featured party are shadowed by a dragon instead of the logical Escanton (the main bad guy in the game). I later found that a dragon is a more effective combat asset than any other creature at the same level! Whilst completing the Lord stage for the first time, I found that everyone in my party had died appart from my gragon who had nearly full health! Another tip whilst in the Arena is to scare off all your apponants with your dragons fear ability before picking the monsters off one by one at your own rate.
