I got a question about Morrowind GOTY Edition |
|
I've played and beaten Morrowind a few years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The one creative idea that stays in my mind about the game is having your shield block a blow. It looks and sounds so real. Anyhow, I was thinking about getting the GOTY edition to check out Bloodmoon and Tribunal. I've heard that these addons have some new dungeons with lich lords and stuff. I was a bit disappointed by the dungeons in Morrowind because they were all cave like and stuff. I also got turned off by the Clockwork dungeon. It just didn't go with the fantasy setting imo. Anyhow, how are the environments of these new dungeons? Any new spells? Any dragons or other fantasy monsters? Furthermore, I don't own Morrowind anymore. So if I get the GOTY edition, do I have to start from the very beginning of Morrowind or can I directly start the Bloodmoon or the Tribunal addon? |

Let's see if I can answer at least some of your questions - it's been a while since I played Morrowind and the addons.
Dungeons: Tribunal has lots of dungeons; most are sewer-like, some are lost-city-like, some are clockwork dungeons (steampunk is fantasy, too ). Bloodmoon also has new dungeons... most are cave-like, but some are different (some kind of labyrinth, for example).
Spells: There are no new standard spells if I recall correctly, but you can always make your own new spell. There are new enchanted items, though.
Monsters: There are new monsters in both Tribunal and Bloodmoon - some are rehashed from older Elder Scroll games, like Goblins and the tree creatures (I actually forgot their name, would you believe it?), some of them are completely new (like the fabricants and their ilk), but you probably won't like those. I have yet to see a dragon, though... then again I haven't met a dragon in any of the six older ES games.
Start: Hmmm... how to put it? Both addons start the moment you install them. So if you install all three games at the same time (Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon), you'll be able to (or in the case of Tribunal, must) play the expansions right from the start. They are not tied into the main storyline IIRC.. _________________ Is that clear?
Does that make sense?
Does that satisfy you? |
