Myrthos and Moriendor: Congrats on this nice preview. I am REALLY anxious to get this game. This is more than a possible sleeper hit - it is a high class RPG...

Indeed. The idea of been able to move objects around to block doors and the like makes you more immersed in the game me thinks. Should be a goodin'.

Heck, you can break a box and make a bow out of it!!!

Man, I had my doubts about this game, but the detail is incredible. Hope a demo comes out soon

As I said in an E-Mail to the newsteam: All credits for the preview go to Myrthos and Myrthos only .

Unfortunately I was lacking the time to contribute to it due to my RL job which is consuming plenty of time at the moment.

But if any of you wants to find out more about Divinity I will be glad to answer your questions (based on my own playing experience during the visit) even though Myrthos' excellent preview is a "nothing-to-add" and "leaves-no-question-unanswered" type of article IMHO .

RPG.com's hyped coverage of Devine sure have helped me become very interested in the game myself. Hope Devine don't get stuck on the publishers hell market

Well, I have to admit that I'm looking forward to the game. The screenshots look a bit like Diablo II (dare I say it), but with more depth. The graphics look excellent. I can hardly wait! (although, Iceland being a third world country, I probably won't see the game until the end of 2002)

Well guys, you will be able to check it out for yourself soon. There will be a demo out, probably in the beginning of November.
So you can see for yourself if I'm right or not

Well not exactly, but it will be the "Don't bother with a 56K modem" type of demo.
It's being worked out at the momen, but I don't think it will be below 200Mb.

But then again I'm not the developer

Over 200mB you say, well I guess I can wait the approx 15 min. it will take for me to download it, if the delivering server is not to busy or to slow hehe.
Well all good servers are usually very busy, so, 30-45 Min. is perhaps a more realistic duration.

The developers do have the intention to make the demo less than 200 MB. We'll see how much they can compress the game data that is needed for it...

1st quarter 2002. Just as all other versions. They're still planning on a worldwide release at the same time. The game is being developed primarily in English so there shouldn't be any delay (except maybe for a week of shipping to the U.S.).
