does anybody know if I need him alive later on for the main quest?
I'd so hate to lose days of work since I accidently overwrote my savegame. |

He's the head guy in the floating rock above Vivec. I haven't seen him in any quests but I'm sure he plays some part with a name like that. |

THere is only person you can kill that will ruin the main quest...and if you kill him you will know. You get a little message that says something like, "The world will never be restored now that so and so is dead". I killed him this morning accidentally. (didn't know he was 'the one')
I don't wanna tell you who it is, as I was quite shocked, but it makes total sense now. The game took a whole new meaning for me when I found out who the "main dude" was.

Odd. I have killed two people where it said that. One being the guy in Balmora where you get your quests...Caes or something like that. |

Nahhh Ive killed 3. Vivic, some chick in the big crab shell and then someone in balmora mage guild, man at this rate I'm not gonna be able to kill anyone |
