Why wrong forum?

BTW, I wonder if they'll include the addon in this special edition (though the newsbit didn't say anything about it.)

Also, in my humble opinion, it seems that Atari aren't really excited about the English release (even though they're too busy for Enter the Matrix and E^3) because of the lack of promotion and official announcements. I wonder if they'll even make a special edition of it.

I donīt think fans are the target audience for this Limited Edition. Everybody who really wanted the game bought it last year. Then fans would have been willing to pay a 20 EUR bonus for the gimmicks.
Possible reasons I see:
-Maybe Gothic 2 gets listed out by the big retailers. Exactly 6 months after release looks like a good date to return unsold stock before the invoice is due. Big retailers have looong payment targets. The LE is actually a new product.
-Koch Media and JoWooD are preparing an upcoming price reduction. This LE gives those who are still undecided added value to get the game now, still for full price. Prior to the release of the add-on G2īs SRP will go down to 30 EUR to broaden the basis. The next step is the gold edition for the Christmas season.

i don't really think, G2 is already listed out. it still ranked place 12 in the april charts. this makes a price drop very unlikely, too. and: why should anyone who didn't get G2 until now be willing to spend extra money for an special edition?

Okay, the charts position is an indicator not to lower the price. But on the other hand, how many units have to be moved to reach no.12 in the charts? 5k or less? Maybe this is no longer enough for one of the involved parties.
The LE is not more expensive than the standard version. This Koch Media shop has it for 43 EUR shipped.
