For me is a "Strong evolving storyline" and Randomized "quest etc. two opposit pulling topics, that is very hard to put into the same game. I hope they can pull it off anyway. _________________ Moderator on RPGdot.com Forum.

The randomized quests are only in a certain area of the game, named the Battlefields. There random maps and random quests are generated.
Outside the Battlefields are no random quests nor random maps. There you have the evolving storyline.
However it is said that the Battlefields are embedded into the storyline in some way. How is unclear at the moment though. So in what measure a random map/quest is related to the normal evolving storyline is a mystery for now. _________________ Kewl quotes:

Okay, I thought that it somehow must be a mix of random and fixed gameworld, if the story should/could be influenced by your doings in the gameworld. But, yes im curious too, about how they want to incoorporate the random part with the fixed part, without breaking the flow of involvement. _________________ Moderator on RPGdot.com Forum.

Apparently the random quest generator is not quite up to par and may be dropped from the game, this a quote from the interview "The random map generator is real good, but as it stands now the random quest generation is not as good as they planned. There is a fair chance that this option will be stricken from the game. But this is surely compensated with the much better character creation and skill system we have now."
