Hey do you use the scrolls?

Hey people, i have a question. When i go to collect my reward from those magician dudes inside the castle in the first chapter, i chose the ring of strength or something. How do i use it? Wut i the exact keyboard combo. or wutever to use it? So anyway, when i couldnt figure out how to use the ring i chose the three scrolls, well i couldnt figure that one out either. So basically i cant choose a rewaerd because they are either scrolls or rings. Please help me cuz i want to see how i transform into a Scavenger. LOL.

To use rings: press "Tab" to open your inventory.
Use left and right keys to go to differend pages. (potions, weapons, scrolls, rings/amulets/ all kind of stuff)
When in the right page, press up or down to select the right object.
To activate the ring press "CTrl" and "Up" ( hold Ctrl and press up).
The backround of the ring/amulet will turn blue when activated.
Do the same to unselect it.
You can look in the status screen if the value is added.

To use a scroll.
Press "Tab" go to inventory, scroll selection.
Select scroll you want to activate. Press "Ctrl" + Up.
Backround will turn blue and a number will appear in right upper corner of the scroll. (scroll have number 3 until 0, sword/axe = 1, bow= 2)
To use a scroll press the corresponding number (same as with sword/bow).

Hope this helps.

only you have to press the use+up keys long enough for the spell to "charge" (the mana (the blue line on the bottom left) will drain correspondingly to the mana cost of the spell) so it would work. and btw, you should have chosen the elixir of mana (mana +5) as a reward

When you return the scroll and are asked to choose your own reward, you want to choose to increase your mana. It is the most valuable selection available. It will increase your mana limit permanantly. The +5 strength rings are extremely common in Gothic. If I were you I would just reload to a previously saved game and go choose to increase your mana instead of to recieve the ring.

To use the ring you simply have to select it. Do it the same exact way you select your weapons.

Just open up your inventory, find the ring you wish to use, then push Ctrl+ UP. Note that you can only wear two rings at once. If you're already wearing two rings then you will have to take one of them off before putting on another. To remove a ring from your finger just do the same thing you would do to remove a weapon from your waste/shoulders. As with your weapons, you can tell which ones are currently being worn because they will be highlighted in your inventory.
