BGII is EASY!!!

Is it just me, or is BGII(and TOB) really freaking easy? maybe I built my characters too good...but they're legit...I dunno but every battle is really easy and it is getting quite boring. and the difficulty levels are stupid, because they only increase the amount of damage enemies do, not their hit points...all I can say is it really takes the fun out of a game without a challenge. at least it has a good story though, and I am definitely going to finish it soon.

What chapter are you on (one to ten)? It gets progressively more difficult higher up. Many battles I had my entire party whiped out. I just finished Throne of Bhaal, and it was NOT easy.

There are modifications you can download to make some boss fights more difficult. You can also turn up the difficulty setting.

I found BG2 insanely difficult from time to time. There were numerous encounters I just couldn´t handle, no matter what strategy I used. And also, you say your characters. Does that mean you created the whole party yourself? In that case, you might have known what kind of strength and weaknesses are best to combine. The NPC´s/partymembers in the game are pretty well balanced.

no I do not have a custom party. I have my PC(monk), Minsc, Keldorn, Jaheira, Valygar, and Imoen...I just wish the difficulty setting would give the monsters more HP. I can put it on insane, but I still kill dragons in under 2 seconds because they have the same HP as normal. oh well...I am about done anyways. I think I liked BG1 more though.

To tell you the truth I wouldn't describe this game as easy, it's more like "medium to getting harder" . ToB reminded me too much of Icewind Dale, but Watcher's Keep was fun. I just love some kind of riddles and puzzles throw into any RPG.

I'm playing the darkest day mod... things are definately harder in general. I'm resting after every fight and burning through massive amounts of healing potions. The monsters seem to never miss and archers are smarter about who they target (in this case they love to target your wizard first, then your cleric).

Dragon in two seconds? I'm taking 90 damage to Minsc in less than 4 by way of orcs...
