G2 Authenticity problem when installing
   


Hello im new at the forum, i wanted to install Gothic 2 night of the raven, but first i need plain Gothic2, so i try to install it and i get this error 1 sec after startin the installation.
I checked both my DVD and CD ROM, it doesnt work, i turned of firewall/antivirus, still no use.
The installation worked when i last install it about year ago, now it doesnt work and i cant play g2 night of the raven
Pls requestin quick help

Welcome to our forum!

This is a typical CP problem. Can be caused by just about everything: old drivers for mainboard / chipset / IDE, software for virtual devices like Daemon Tools or a part of Nero, ZoneAlarm, anti virus software, spyware.

If it worked before and doen´t now you have modified your system in some way.

You´re approximately the 50th person on this forum who has such a problem, so there´s hardly anything new to say about it.

the best way to stop postin the same problem is add this problem to faq
And after postin i tried to search about it and i found some info, it seems that the only way is to install some new or older drivers for motherboard or cdrom or something. Thx for help anyway, maybe ill just w8 for g3
