Why was the thread underneath this one locked? Hmm, oh well.

Elderscrolls III: Morrowind was to be the number 1 game of 2002(I thought). I'm a huge Might&Magic/Heroes of MM fan, and I must say, I am now more excited about MM9 than Elderscrolls 3.

Reasons:
I don't care as much about animations as some of you do, and I don't care about having to use several hacks on a rat, but I can't stand companies saying: "This is a completely non-linear game", when it actually isn't.

You are not forced to follow the main quests in Morrowind, but you won't get anywhere unless you do. Every place in the game is locked up tight with guards and everything, so the only place you can go without doing the main quests is into the wilderness where you will be killed in seconds!

Here is my "top wanted" list of 2002:
1.Neverwinternights(I love BG).
2.Gothic 2(seems like an extremely good game).
3.Might and Magic 9
4.Heroes of Might and Magic 4
5.Age of Wonders 2
6.Elderscrolls III: Morrowind
7.Might and Magic 10(supposed to be out around Christmas, but I think it will be 2003).

What is your top list of wanted games, and why?

Morrowind due to being non-linear...
Arx Fatalis due to small things like cooking, fishing and such.
Gothic2...no need to say why around this forum is it?
UT2 and Unreal2,in Epic,Digital Extremes and Legend I trust...
Or in other words,UT2 looks like this years online FPS and Unreal2 as single player FPS of the year.
Duke Nukem forever (this year too ) I think 3D realms knows how to make a great followup.

Other games I don't really know enough about yet like Another war,new world order and some others.

Are you talking about the, Morrowind anyone, thread? I think it's locked because it belongs in the Morrowind forum, not because of content or anything.

My list isn't as long as yours, I'm looking forward to Gothic 2, Morrowind, Never Winter Nights and Dungeon Siege (sorta). I played the Arx Fatalis demo and that looks fun, so I'd like to see it. Too bad the American release was pushed back.

They did it for a good reason and it's not only the US release that's moved.
They're fixing bugs and adding/changing some stuff due to feedback on the demo.
So I say thanks to Fishtank for allowing it and thanks to Arkane for taking feedback so seriously...and I'd rather wait a couple of extra months for a game with less bugs.
I've been waiting for DNF roughly 5 years,so I'm used to waiting...

As Gig said it was locked because it didn't belong in this forum and links where provided to the appropraite forum. A thread like this one here would probably be moved to General CRPG Talk.
But my list:
1. Gothic 2
2. Morrowind
3. Warcraft III (but I'll believe it when I hold it in my hands)
4. Dungeon Siege

I know and I agree, I'd rather have it finished too. I just get that vaporware feeling whenever a release date gets pushed back.

Rainstorm... I don't think Duke Forever is ever coming out.

Oh thee of little faith...
It starts to feel like it'll never appear I agree, but I trust that 3D Realms will release it some day.(I'd guess this year unless they decide to swap engine again... )
So put on a cute smile and be happy there's a lot of nice games on the way to play while waiting.

Gothic 3
Another sims expansion... j/k

In all truth, if gothic comes out in October
I don't know what I'll do. I already took a break just to play G1. I can't afford to take
another. Ah man I'm so dead, I'm sooooo dead.

Donate blood. That's what I do when I can't afford it, but I really want it. I pay in blood.

The Morrorwind thread was locked because it (a) was in the wrong forum and (b) it had no substance yet.
Your Gothic 2 thread was locked because the other thread was still active. In fact it was still so close to the top that a simple look at the list should have revealed it.

Some people accessed the Gothic forums via GothicDot or Piranha Bytes. FYI, RPGDot has 18 open forums. To see them all click on the dragon.

I meant I can't afford to take a break from school. I can afford to buy it. And no I wouldn't want to pay in blood. Are you on drugs?
