What to do, what to do!! Help!!

I am playing the PC version, in case that makes a difference. I've accumulated a few very high price items and would like to sell some. Creeper and Mudcrab do not have enough money. Will their cash flow be higher when I reach a higher level? Is there a way around this?
I downloaded the patch for regular Morrowind and it said not to use if you have the expanded version. I don't have that yet but may get it. Should I install the patch and if so what does it do. When I get the later versions do they just add on to the game or will I have to start over? Thanks so much for any help!

Selling high-dollar stuff is a pain in MW. The quickest way to get around the problem is to download a mod called "Zed the Merchant". Some players feel that being able to sell expensive items unbalances the game, but I think the majority feel the developers made a poor decision.

You can use your patch on MW. What you don't want to do is install Tribunal or Bloodmoon and then apply the base MW patch.

Adding Tribunal or Bloodmoon at a later date has no effect on your progress in the MW storyline.

Well yes, without adding the plug-in dte mentioned you'll have to stick with 'Creeper holidays'...

1) Sell him lots of items which are roughly worth roughly 5000 gold each.

2) Once you have enough cash, buy as many 'change' items back as you have to so Creeper has enough money to buy the expensive item from you.

3) Sell it.

4) Take a 24-hour nap in the bed of the orc lady.

5) After breakfast, re-sell piece for piece of your 'change' to Creeper... over the course of the next few... weeks.

6) Oh. And don't let the orc lady catch you sleeping in her bed.

Not sure what you mean here.

As for Zed, get it here.

I think you misunderstood was Jaz was saying. The items aren't changing-- they are serving as "change", as in "change for a dollar" kinda thing.

Here's a second run at Jazzy's instructions:

1) Sell the Creeper lots of midpriced items- this will take several trips since your goal is to end up with ~80,000 worth of stuff in his inventory.
2) Save your pennies for a while and then buy back all that stuff you just sold to the Creeper- he will now have ~80,000 drakes, and you'll have a bunch of inventory.
3) Sell your high-priced item. Now you have your ~80k drakes back, and you've still got all that inventory.
4) Finally, sell back all that inventory- this will take several trips since the Creeper will only be able to buy a small part of it each time.

Yeah, I meant 'change' as in 'small change', sorry about the confusion.

I understand the change thing now, thanks. I didn't get it at first. I spent the night with mudcrab making change to sell some higher priced items.
I was wondering if there is a way to have two recall locations. Sure would make things easier.
BTW I was able to get a deed from house Hlaalu for property so today I'll be trying to find it.
Another question please. I was doing the Thieves quest to get dwemer artifacts and found them. Also picked up another escort quest there. I decided to finish the escort and then return with the artifacts but the're gone. I've gone back and checked with any merchants I may have sold too but no luck. Now I managed to get the another bowl and goblet but can't find another Dwemer Tube. I had one for an earlier quest. Does anyone know where I can find another or is there another available. Thanks all again!!!

In Balmora? You'll find Wayn selling weapons there, but last time I checked he hadn't turned to philanthropy.

What do you mean when you say he "doesn't accept gold"?

Ah, no. You don't actually give vendors any money when trading. You select the items you want to trade and the cost will appear in the bottom-left of the dialogue. Once you okay the sale, that amount will automatically be deducted from your gold reserves.

You gain a level once you're increased any combination of major and/or minor skills by ten points. You increase your skills by sucessfully using them. So you gain levels by being sucessful at the things you're good at!

If you've lots of magical skills, cast lots of spells. If you're a combaty type, kill lots of critters. It you're a dirty thief, steal, steal and steal away!

You fall to the floor when your fatigue level reaches zero - that's the green bar in the bottom left of your screen. Your fatigue increases steadily over time, but doing things and being punched will cause it to fall. Make sure you've got a lot of fatigue before starting any fights - not only will you last longer before being knocked down, but you'll be more effective at everything you do.

Hand-to-hand fighting doesn't initially affect an opponent's hit points, first of all it just damages fatigue. If you're fighting people who aren't using weapons, keep an eye on your fatigue level and be prepared to drink a potion of Restore Fatigue if you get a bit low!
