immortal meteor

I have seen several people write about not being able to destroy the meteor, but never saw an answer on how to get around it. I am in the same boat. I made it past the 3 Vsilads to the meteor. When I entered the room there was a priest bowing to the meteor. I put on the two rings, and tried to touch the meteor (which has some pulsing white bands around it) but nothing happens at all. I went back to my save game and killed the priest to see if that did something. It didn't. I read where one guy said he reentered through the goblin prison and it worked for him, so I tried that and that didn't work either. Does anyone know how to get around this? I triple checked and I do have both rings on. As an aside - I never killed the lich in the outer room before so I went back to clear him out after I couldn't destroy the meteor. When I opened the chest and looted it he never came out. I found him up against the wall next to the coffin, not moving. He didn't even fight back. So maybe there is some type of bug. Just to add a little more detail When I came across the third Vsilade, he was just out of the Lich-golem room, so I climbed up on the balcony and took him out with a bow. he never moved. Is that normal?
I need desperate help!!!

You seem to be bugged for sure. Try a new install of the patch. Then pick a save slot that you are sure none of the bugs had been encountered and start there. I hope this helps you, let us know.

CM,
Thanks for the tip. I finally got through it and here's how. I went back to a save before I reentered Aakba's dungeon (although I hated battling those nasty Visildes all over again). I fought my way through and reached the meteor chamber, killed the priest and tried to touch the meteor but it still didn't work. I remembered what one person said on a forum - that he reenetered through the goblin prison and it worked. So I left the dungeon into the goblin prison and immediately re-entered. This time I didn't even have to walk up to the meteor. The second I re-entered there was a cut scene and the damn meteor died. FINALLY! But I had to use up all but two of my life potions, so I may be in trouble when I go back to the castle. But at least I'm past the meteor phase! Thanks for your help.

Think you can pick the lock on the shops and chest , it is funny you really can not steal from the chest except the Jeweler (if I recall) they still take you money if you broke in.

If you haven't done so, don't forget to search for all the flowers on every level to make your own potions. I went back to the very beginning levels and found a few I missed here and there.
