Lately while trying to find out where I'm supposed to go next (If I don't find any clues soon, I'm going to either map out the Northern Wilderness or just walk blindly to Trynton.) I've been making trips back and forth from Arnika to the Monastary. I find that the Highwaymen (and sometimes Brigands) not only give good gold, but more than that, you can get some rare items from them. I've gotten some Thieves Bucklers which sell for about 1,500gp, and a few Shadow Cloaks, and I also got a Prospero Cloak (Bard Only item, sells for a bit under 1,000gp, but if you have a Bard, it looks like an awesome item). Not to mention, they drop Potions of Razor Cloak, various powders and bombs which can be sold...I generally find it to be a very profitable trip and recommend it to people around level 10 who need cash. (Being that's where my chars are.)

Better yet. If you have at least one character that has alchemy skill > or = 15 you can make unlimitted cash the second you step into Arnika for the first time.

Head straight for Lord Braffit in the temple and starting mixing light and mod. heal potions. This makes Heavy heal and sells for more than what it cost to buy the 2 smaller potions. If Braffit runs out of what you need camp 3 times in a row right inside his room. No enemies will bother you and Braffit will restock.
Once the alchemy skill gets to higher levels (30-40) you can mix better stuff and make cash even faster!!
This is the best way to make cash AND simultaneously raise Alchemy skill to sick levels . If you have an alchemist and do this early the rest of that characters development will be a cake walk. Spells will be incredibly easy to cast at higher power levels too.

Don't forget to identify the items before you sell them to Braffit otherwise you won't get much money for them. If you have to buy the identify scrolls and use them, doing this will also increase your artifacts skill.

Another way to make good money, is to take a thief into any vendor store and aaaa shoplift. You just have to be willing to reload the game if caught. This is a great way to get the best armor available and unlimited ressurection potions. I discovered the resuurection scrolls do not work. :<

But beware, with the most recent patch applied, you don't even have to be caught to have negative effects. If the shopowner notices that things are missing from their inventory after your "visit", they are likely to become hostile towards you..

So, steal carefully!!

With the camping a lot idea, I take it time has no real effect in-game? Like it doesn't matter if you're on day 4615 or something?
