About children

When Gothic II was being made almost everyone wanted women you could talk to (alright, they did talk in Gothic I but nothing realy useful). Gothic II came out and we could finaly talk to the female people in the game, but no children.

In Gothic III I would like to have children. I was rather suprised there weren't any children in the whole city of Khorines in Gothic II. Not only because it sound strange (a big city with no children) but also because it would create many new possibilitys:

-a child is kidnapt your quest is to get him/her back.
-trade candy from information or a small favor.
-get on the good side of the parents by being nice to the children.

what do you all think of this?

Just think of this: In Gothic I and II you can kill Everyone (oke with cheats for some but still)... Now just think what would happen if you could kill childeren...

*edit*
Oops of curse it sounds nice in a game like this. Like trading a candy to go hunting with the kid (level 100 )

Making children killable in a game is commercial suicide. The censorship authorities wouldn´t like it.

Yust dont' make them killable then, alright it's not very realistic (being able to kill the biggest warrior champion but not being able to kill a smal weak child), but he a world without children is not that realistic.

Having children in Gothic is a good idea but...
1. They will be to weak, it will be easy to kill (hit) them by
mistake... I did that even with warriors.
2. The world of Gothic is too dangerous and cruel for them. I don't want
to come to a city and see how orcs are killing harmless children...
Or it can happen as happened with Mad in Gothic 1 - everybody
will try to harm them...
3. I dream that some time THE WAR WILL END and we will live in
peace. Don't think that I'm to kind or I'm a bad warrior...
I'm just tired of death...Maybe sometime we will live happilly,
have a wife and children and so on...

It would be great if you could settle down. Like buy a house and then get a wife and kids. Then you go out sailing with boat and fishing or something. Or hunting.

I know it would be very hard and that they wound do it but it would be great.

The same thing is about your kid would be like you, You would give him stuff ore something then he would get experince and he would grow in time. Like 30 days - One Year ???

That you could do your own stuff. Carpentry, Forgery, etc. your own job. You could get rich and so. You know.

But i know and almost all people know this woun't be in gothic. Maybe is some other Piranha-Bytes game.

Ok Mercenary.
Don't you think that living always in war doesn't have future!
One day you will settle down or... die...
Do you want to became dead nameless (but in deed I think that
some day we will know our story...) hero? No my friend, our
hero deserves for good life at least. Believe me if He will die
in the end I will stop playing PC games.

Off topic? noooo, I need a good white horse to travel with. Childrens are a good idea, but I prefer a white horse. Sooo.... horses can be done with other colors.

There are too many animals in the game, but there are no horses. There are nothing more incredible than a Knight running by the ways.... and with a 30 kg armor and all the inventary and bow........:PPPPP

There should be ponnies to carry the items, and horses to carry our knight. Stables in the city and farmers to park the horses and eat. I would disable the system inventory, and limite to only that a normal person can carry. And a good room or home to colect these items. Its like the real life...... if you stole a tv in a house, you need some to carry (better a car than a horse). The game is superb like it is, but can be better.

There are no good knight without a good horse and sword.

Yes, horse would be a great thing, and you could travell much faster. But if you want settle, you can try with Morrowind-I heard you can build your own house and also put many other things into game !
