Hello I'm new to the board and was looking for some help or suggestions. I just bought a Radeon X1600Pro (256mb) to play Oblivion and replace my old X300. Yet I'm finding that it's extremely choppy regardless of resolution, or slidings at full or off. I've turned off shadows, lighting and all that and it's still bad particularly during battles. Please help me I'm running a P4 1gig ram, 2.8ghz.

Oblivion is very demanding software, and you will need to configure your system for maximum effect. Try this site: http://www.tweakguides.com/. It has great information for tweaking the game and your ATI driver.

Obviously there must be some problem because X1600 should be able to handle the game (not at max details, but somewhere around the middle).
