WWII Online: Convention '06 in Fort Worth Texas @ Official S |
|
World War II Online is a more popular game tham most online gamers realize. At any given time their forums alone register no fewer than 200 active readers, which is more than the average player concurrency of many games that we cover here. So, to all those closet Allied and Axis soldiers, it's time to get out of the basement and meet your comrades and enemies up close and personal-like. (Heck, if the '05 Convention photos are any indication, you might even get to meet a girl.) The convention runs from May 25th through the 27th in Fort Worth, Texas.

The 2006 official player convention is being held May 25th through May 27th in Fort Worth, Texas.
This year's event is bigger and better because we're kicking things off a day earlier- giving more time for gameplay, convention events and meeting your fellow players. Yes, there will be LAN play. Yes, there will be paintball. Yes, there will be lots of food and drink. Yes, there will be presentations, special events and con t-shirts. Yes, every Rat will be in attendance!

It is important to pre-register now in order for planning to take place. Deadline for pre-registration is March 24th.

To be truly honest I hate games like these... It's a bit like pissing on the graves of dead soldiers really. The name alone "World War 2 Online" is a bit of a bad joke. I know there are alot of games around these days that feature a WW2 background and at least in my opinion all of them are crossing the thin line between fiction and fact. Don't get me wrong - I'm not a pacifist or something; I can get along with fictional games quite well. Just thinking that games which are presenting historical wars (for the sole purpose of simulating war) kinda suck. |

Sick yes, i'm from europe and i know how many people gave their lives here alone to liberate it, world wide it is just to much to comprehend. Seeing a bunch of heavily overweight nerds, most of them don't even fit in a tank let alone drive it. Getting drunk and drooling over their so called girlfriends. Ohh well at least the local escortservice has a huge boom every year they show up. |
