Help answering question (water mage) no spoiler please

My question is I just started the 4th chapter and the head of the water mages offered me to become one.

my question is will becoming a water mage keep me out of any other guilds that I might want to join in the future? (no spoilers please)

I am already a mercenary but was wondering if I should now become a water mage; I'm not too interested in doing magic but if thats how I should proceed then I will become one.

thanks

Dulak

Joining them wont keep you out of any other guilds.

Allthough I dont think you have to join them to develop the story, but you might aswell to get access to their armours.

What exactly are your options..?
Since you want a non-sp answer, I won't be telling you anything except you don't have to join them as of yet.. You'll do just fine as an merc.

On the other hand, magic can proove to be usefull; but only at level 3-4.
If you have already spent too many learn point on dexterity, stick to a crossbow.
