We'd be lucky to see an english version in 2006.

'End of 2005' has been the planned release date from the start.

As far as I’m informed, the English release will follow shortly after the German. Is this not correct?

This could be outdated. JoWooD is once again without North American partner.

well, first of all gothic3.net is not official. it's partiot's site! best place for this info would be jowood's forums and press.jowood.com. when you see it there, then it's offical. the rest is just rumours and speculation!

Or the thread with official info on this forum. If Gorath put in there, it's official too.

Any date is fine with me, if later oh well, if sooner WHOOPIE! My sword/magic arm is tingling already.

I'm really looking forward to G3, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll bet the German version will be out promptly, but judging from the NOTR (sorry to drag that up) debacle we'll have to wait for the English version. And wait, and wait, and sit thru all the speculation and rumors and wait some more.
