Ok, here's the thing. I somehow missed everything about learning magic. I don't even understand this circle 1/2/3/...stuff. I am fairly far into the game. In the middle of chapter four. When I talk to the water mages (the fire mages are already dead), I do not even get to ask about magic. I am already 20+ level as a warrior. How do I learn to use magic, so I can use the runes that require a circle level? Is it just something like using skill points for mana until I have a high enough mana, or was I supposed to do something that can no longer be done? One strange thing is that the leader of the water mages gives me the opportunity to take an oath and get a robe. But that doesn't seem to help me with magic. Please help, with as few spoilers as possible (i.e., if I my question will be answered in the game in the next chapter, or I'll find out some other way, please do not tell me how. However, if I missed something, or am screwed now, let me know so I won't waste anymore time trying to figure it out).
Thx for any help (sorry for writing so much up there).

If you have taken the oath and and have the blue robe then you are a mage
Saturas should be able to raise your circles to 5th.

I took the robe and the oath, and then realized that the guy giving me the oath will let me gain more magic experience. I am surprised at myself for not attempting to talk to him after taking the robe earlier.
Thanks for the help! |
