Movement cotrols - right and left?
   

This has probably been asked before; but can you turn left or right smoothly without the strafe mode. Can you turn in a circle instead of strafe?

I think not, you turn by using the mouse.
The controls are nice for fighting

i think you can, try clicking one of the x-axis buttons or y-axis and trying it out
