The possessed on the island of Khorinis are:
- Fernando (merchant in the upper town)
- Vino (worker on Lobarts farm)
- Malak (worker on Bengars farm or in the valley near Onars farm)
- Bromor (pimp in the brothel)
- Engrom (Talbins friend - in the cave behind Cavalorns hut, where you find one of the palas)
- Randolph (worker on Akils farm)
- Sekob (owner of *surprise!* Sekobs farm)
- Brutus (torturer in the torture chamber of the fort in the mine valley)

When I couldn't knock down the red lantern guy for his I found another one in Lobart's stone ring. Maybe something similar for brutus. You might have to reload otherwise. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

The book you found near the stone ring next to Lobarts farm is most likely to be Vino's, since Vino usually is attacked by several seekers as soon as you walk near him or attack one of the mentioned seekers.
If you don't search the Vino-carcass it will disappear after some time and I guess the book just remains because it's necessary for the quest.
But that's purely hypothetical!
@ yeberion:
How did you manage to make Brutus run out of the fortress?
You must've summoned a demon next to him - or you've transformed yourself into a meatbug... _________________ "With sword in hand I now stand on my enemies' land." - Immortal: Beyond The North Waves

Could be but got Vino's book first time when knocked him down, managed to keep seekers from killing him.
Never know I think since I can't ever knock that red lantern guy down. When I use ice block then whack at him I get called a thug and have to pay Andre _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.

Have you tried to talk to Bromor and ask him if he was alright?
'cause if you do so, he should draw his blade and attack you automatically. But since he has to run around the counter to reach you, you'll have time to flee.
Lead him to the dock this way, grab your bow or crossbow and shoot at him several times. When he comes near enough to hit you he should be quite weakened so that you should easily be able to knock him out with two or three well timed strokes of your sword.
You can finally take his book without killing him and, of course, without being attacked by other people - as you all know, fights aren't unusual in the harbor quarter. You just must not attack people in their houses - that's what they all dislike. _________________ "With sword in hand I now stand on my enemies' land." - Immortal: Beyond The North Waves
