A friend of mine metioned that Gothic can reveal
things about our personal psychology, or words that effect. I think I agree. For example:
Do you consider Orcs to be dirty, smelly, and subhuman, as I have some have written? Orcs are not portrayed that way in this game. People merely project this traits on to them, and use
it as an excuse for murdering them.
Do you wish to see the already scantily clad women in the buff? Or do practice compassion,
and go out of your way to spare others as espoused by a few?
As people have said Gothic is just a game, but I think it can give us some insight into some
pathological problems we may have. Just thought
I'd share. |

Nice thought. I guess you're right, although I killed orcs in self defense.

When something attacks me,whether orc,snapper or guard I'll fight back...it's survival instinct and not hate of a race. 
I'd most certainly do my best to liberate the women if that was an option.(then I'd put 'em in my cave as my personal slaves,muahahaha...J/K)
In Fallout I fight every slaver I meet so I can release their slaves and I'd do the same in Gothic. |

Sleep until midnight and then butcher every Digger and Novice in the game with a pickaxe as they sleep so they don't whine at me when I enter their feeble little huts anymore.

What can I say, I dropped out of PYSC 101.
If Gothic was a Pysc test I'd fail that too.
I bought this game to help my pyscological state-of-mind, otherwise I'd be running around with a sword and bow in my backyard eating plants and hunting animals.
Maybe... Na... Probably not. I can Imagine at the end getting feedback on what kind of person you are based on your actions and decisions. Mine would say... Born Leader, scratch that... Evil Auto

My Gothic test would probably say that I'm a compassionate person who tries to go out of her way to be good.
If they only knew me IRL... I'm one of those people who wish they were really, really baaad. Which is why I'll probably have ulcers sooner or later ...

My Gothic Test would say that I am animal-murdering, carnivorous (I kill animals and eat them), religious zealot (I joined the SC my 3rd tour through), thief (I learned lockpicking and pickpocketing and put them to use), vigilante (Wiped out the OC for murdering the Fire Mages), evil witch (I learned the dark arts of Necromancy), genocidal murderer (I once wiped out the Orcs, sorry Gig), thug (Beat up diggers for money), and a selfish capitialist (I refused to deliver water to the peasants and help out the community).

Mine would say that I was delusional for nearly having an emotional breakdown when the Firemages were slaughtered.
It would also say that I was manic and psychopathic for gleefully murdering anything that moved in the OC over the same slaughter.
I'm sure it would also say that I lacked reasonable synthesis since I was technically a master of two handed weapons, yet still couldn't sword fight.

I don't know how much I agree with this. Gothic is a role-playing game. Where you play a role other than yourself. So I don't think it reflects a whole lot. |

You can't steal from Diego or most other people that have real names, beat the up and robe them. Just don't kill them.
