i know how to cast the fireball spell but i can't figure out how to throw it...i have always had to cast the spell and then so i don't end up a fried hero...help would be appreciated..

you will be much better of with the incinerate spell AAM MEGA YOK

My suggestion is pre-cast the spell, then place your cursor on your target and press the appropriate key to cast it from the pre-cast slot.

Precast it as Corwin suggested. I spent virtually the entire game with at least two fireballs ready. |

Are you sure you're casting the right spell? Fireball goes to where your cursor is located. It shouldn't stay in front of you. It's automatic.

Hmm... maybe your character is not enough skilled in magics. For example in mental, or you have not enough mana points...
I've seen same efects than you when my character don't have enough mana points to cast the spell, so, the fireball eated up my mana, and at last, when my mana totally drained, the fireball disappeared without a "shot". ...maybe this can help you.

Give it a few seconds and the fireball wil automatically be launched, it stays in front of you for a while so that you can aim it before it shoots.

Well then don't look at the ground when you cast it. Use the time it stays in front of you to aim it. Make sure it doesn't hit anything too close to you, i.e a bump in the ground, object, etc, otherwise you'll be fried.

i aim staright ahead and it doesn't move it just blows up so usually i run up to the guy i want to blast cast the spell and then run away before it blows up. works just fine like that as well
