A Couple of Last Chapter Questions |
|
I think I'm just about to the end and am looking forward to getting this beast off my hard drive. It's been a long, fantastic road, but, man, will I be glad to finish it.
Let's see. I've been roaming around Ascension Peak for some time. Found the three temples and have placed the three artifacts in their receptacles. Now what? When I placed the third one (the Destinae Dominus), a guy appeared in front of me but the earthquakes closed off the passage before I had a chance to talk to or even look at him, so all I could do was warp back to the three statues. Now it seems that all I have to work with are the three temples, and it seems pointless to go back and check them all again (I rechecked the D.D. temple in hopes of climbing on top of it or something to talk to that guy). I don't mind being spoiled about where exactly to go next.
Baha ha, I love the little Trynnie and his buddy Pee Wee. Hmmm ... I was going to ask what he does if you pay him off, but I just remembered that he asked for about twice as much money as I had. Does he maybe always ask for more money than you have, so you have to fight him? If you can buy him off, tell me a little about him. I'm not going to bother trying to work up enough cash to buy him off to see what he's like in extended conversation. But he immediately charmed me.
Oh, yeah - when I went back to the Rapax Castle (and, yes, I did get some sweet stuff with those deposit slips!), I discovered one last, singular, final loose end I wasn't able to tie up. I think it's in the queen's chambers that there's what looks like one of those mirror portal thingies with a lever or something on one side. You can't pull it, and none of the objects I fiddled around with caused any kind of reaction. What is the deal with this thing?
Now that I'm in the final stretch, you'll be glad to know that I have probably less than 200 questions left to plague this board with.
Thanks again in advance

Almost forgot: what is the deal with phaser ammunition? Whitey is out of powerpacks but he keeps on firing the darn thing. Does it need ammunition or not? Is the effectiveness reduced or something? Is it a bug? |

When you placed the third item, there should have been an earthquake. That is supposed to be a clue that there might a new path to follow. You might consider heading north from the statues...
I had enough money to buy off Pee Wee once, so it's not automatically too much. I killed them anyway, so I can't tell you what happens.
The queen's mirror turns into a portal once you put it back together. Notice that there's a bar missing on the right side? Somewhere in the castle (don't remember where), there's an item "black rod" (IIRC the name). Use it on the mirror to activate the portal.
You have maybe 1 hour to go. Make sure you save before leaving Ascension Peak. You'll understand why later... _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.

The Queen's Portal there leads to the hall past the room in Arnika with the Necklaces of Endurence. I think the part you need is called Ornate Rod or something like that.
I've always killed Pee Wee, too.
Your next path is a bit tricky to find. _________________ If thousand-year-old family traditions are so important to you, why do you have indoor plumbing and electricity in your family's house? |
