Another update for anyone following this. It looks like it really was not sent until October 6, 2005 from Czech. So hopefully it will be here given two weeks already airmail within a week. tha is 14 to 20 days. Still have not seen publishing from Aspyre in NA yet.

Dear Mr. *****,

number of packet is ********** and it was sent from Czech post to your country 06.10.2005. This is the information from Czech post.So the package is on the way and I hope you will obtain it soon. You can try to ask on your post office. If it din't arrive till end of this month, mail me, we will send new package.
Have a nice day
Lucie *****

And it would seem they are willing to replace it if it did get lost. That would be very nice of them and restore my faith .

I really hope it was just the customs delay due to 'Random Package' searches they do for 'nasty' surprises in the mail here in USA. Hell, the postal inspectors probably played the game through for themselves first.

I guess the real problem is that transportation businesses (have to) wait until a shipping unit (or whatever this is called ) - a container, a plane or whatever they use - to a certain destination is full. Between "big" economies this is a neglectable issue. Germany and the US for example have so much business going on between each other that it hardly takes longer than a day until a shipping unit is ready to go. I´m not sure how "normal" low quantity export from the Czech Republic to the US is.

Well... one of the two copies I ordered arrived at home on Monday. I'm at college right now, so I had my dad open the package, and he said that there was only one copy of the game in it. Now I'm not sure if they somehow forgot one of my copies or if they were just shipped seperately and one is a little behind. Did anyone else who ordered two copies get them seperately? I guess I'll wait to see if the second copy shows up soon. If it wasn't shipped, then my friend and I will be sharing a copy until we can get a US copy.

I ordered two copies and received both of them in the same package.

On a side note: I'm very impressed with the add-on. The game is very much improved!

Well, here it is the end of month and still no game. They are not even answer my e-mail to resend the package as they promised.

I can not believe this. I paid 65 USD for an expansion I never even have yet.

Then two days later they announce the US release for 20 USD.

I will tell you next week what I think of 'Bontonland' if they will not answer me.

Ordered September 18, 2005. Now it is October 29, 2005.

Well, finially it looks like I got a notice from my post to pick it up at the post office.

Yes, a really long time and alot of money. Maybe it was held up due to the wrong zipcode format, which causes it to be not read by the computers and needs to be hand sorted.

IA and LA in some fonts looks identical. So it ended up in Lousiana instead of Iowa without the zipcode in the correct place. That is when there was a huge hurricane that blew that state away. They are just now getting lost mail package back on track from the sorting facility down there by hand labor.

Yes. wrong adress. Somebody, it appears in french language in between, re-wrote down the adress by hand writing. They made all the numbers "1" look like"7". They should be retired from the post office there for such sloppy hand writing.

To add insult to injury, the cheap DVD case it came in got crushed in one corner, cracking the CD. and there is no manual as you know.

So I finially got it, with a cracked damaged DVD case and a broken CD.

I can imagine it would cost me another 40 USD and three months for a RMA return merchandise order?

Can someone translate this badly written e-mail I got? It appears some characters are not converted correctly. I can understand some Slavic language but this is just ridiculous if it was not so sad. I could not make up a more expensive exhaustive horror story.

My first guess is that a reclaimation number can be made after 30 days (November 1, 2005) the last 'Ravi-mail' sent out item and I need to call the phone number.

Thanks for the translation.

The saga continues....

I did get an e-mail they are sending me another copy within 15 days. That is good news. They stand by their product.

I hope this one is in a hard package. It would seem the mail takes a 'beating' along the way.

The last one had three labels on it. I think it went around the world quite a bit before I got it. Too bad it was crushed and broken...

Yep, sooon I will get the NoTR in a couple of weeks...

Come back and read more exciting stories of 'Tales from the Darkside'.

New episode in two weeks.
