lock level 100.....crap

Im stuck on a the first mission for the thief guild in Ald'ruhn, I have been tasked to break into the mages guild and steal a magical tanto, I went in and killed the lone mage who was guarding the place whil the others were away. I've unlocked every chest exept a few that have lock levels of over 50, because when I try to unlock them I get a 'lock to complex' come up on screen, is this because im only a level 3 thief or what if this is the case, can someone recommend a town where there are plenty of easy thief missions to get started up.

Balmora; or Vivec city.

Ps - you could open 100 lock points chest with magical scroll called "lock splitter" or something.

The first guild i joined was the theives guild in BALMORA. In balmora go to the southwall cornerclub. inside the southwall cornerclub there is a person named sugar Lips habasi she one of the thieves guild leaders and will give you easy missions to complete

The skill from wich you can pick locks easier is 'security'. When you got lots of gold, you can train in that skill with sugar lips (bribe him first so it will be much cheaper)

You can also buy the "open" spell from whoever sells it, and enchant an item to open up to 100pts. That was the only way I could get thru some of those early locks.

I created a ring (let it enchant in the MG since i ain't good at it) and it opens 100 points on target... it's very cool, you can open any lock from 200 meters away
