| How to. I couple of quick questions. |

What do I need to get the winch to open the gate in the cave?
How do you get people to go to sleep using the sleep spell?
Major cool game this, not got to bed before 2am since I bought it. |

First, this topic should be in gameplay/spoiler forum 
As for answers:
1) You need molerat fat in order to operate that winch. There's one such on the paladin ship, and you can also get one later from the brothers fieldworkers in Akil's farm;
2) You just activate the spell and then face the NPC you want to put to sleep, so that it's targetted, and then cast the spell (G2 controls: click left mouse button or CTRL, once; G1 controls: hold down action key - mouse left button or CTRL key - and press and hold down up arrow key, until spell goes off). Note that the will only sleep for a short time; |

There are only a few people that wil go to sleep with the sleep spell. Only the ones that are really tired  . The spell is mostly used to achieve some quests and works only on specific NPC's.

I thankyou both, for the info, would never have guessed the winch bit, good job I asked, but I figured that sleep might only work on some people or beasties. |
