The traders are all a rip off! The more you trade the more you lose! Might as well just kill em' all and take their loot!
I wish G2 can have a better trading scheme, so certain items are always cheaper at certain towns and others more expensive. So if you want to... you could make money by buying and selling merchandise if you're willing to do a lot of running around between towns. |

gothic had enough money to last for 100 games in 1.
Would be nice, but the would have to lower the cash amount in the game.
Or put some really incredible stuf in that is very expensive _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Also the larger amount of ore and items to trade, the slower the process goes! Hope this problem will be fixed in G2. _________________ =Farseer=

They must put more high priced unique stuf in the game and
less low priced stuf.
Only a few of each low level stuf would be enough. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

I just used the low level stuff to make it more even when buying or selling... so I wouldn't be overpaying or be underpaid.....just a thought. _________________ "What are you gonna do? i like the idea of having some items cheaper in one town & more in another...but money was never an issue in gothic. actually i had way too much of it. as suggested earlier some higher priced items would be a nice addition. by the end of gothic i had so much orr that i didn't know what to do with myself. if i hadn't lost it all in the sleepers temple i could visit the king in gothic2 and outfit his entire army with orr to spare! _________________ "The origin of things, if things have an origin, cannot be revealed to me, if revealed at all, until I have travelled very far from it, and many revolutions of the sun must precede my first dawn. There's no such thing as having too much money!
But what I don't get is why the weapons don't add up. When you're trading anything else, that object stays in the same box, but its numbers increase or decrease. But when you trade many of the same weapon they each occupy one box???
Also... we're in the real world now. Surely we can use the bank... to store our money... and we can retrieve it at any town providing there's a bank branch there! |

Prices in G2 should be more balanced!
Prices in G2 should rise after a chapter ends!! _________________ =Member of the RPGDot Shadows=

i like the idea of a gothic bank. so, are we still going to be trading in orr or are they introduces a new gothic currancy? _________________ "The origin of things, if things have an origin, cannot be revealed to me, if revealed at all, until I have travelled very far from it, and many revolutions of the sun must precede my first dawn. Yeah... you know the tons and tons of coins you found everywhere in Gothic which wasn;t worth anything? Well, now they'll be worth something. Pity we can;t port our collection over from Gothic to Gothic 2.
However... I think ore can also still be used. |

what do you mean the coins weren't good for anything in gothic 1. when i was stuck in that temple after the game was over i used them all to play tiddly winks and pass the time. _________________ "The origin of things, if things have an origin, cannot be revealed to me, if revealed at all, until I have travelled very far from it, and many revolutions of the sun must precede my first dawn. You wont propably find too much ore in Gothic 2
cause its really wanted by the king and it should be more worthy
than coins, like 1 ore = 10 coins _________________ =Member of the RPGDot Shadows=
