map isn't coming up

i press the map button and nothing happens.

i assume i need to buy a map first? if so, where?

Yep you have to buy it, and its from the guy in the harbor district, next door to the guy who is building a boat, he sits outside his hut, he will sell you maps.

thanks, i thought it was some major bug i would have to reinstall the game for or something.....i would have become homicidal.
