Stuck :(
   

Ok..I am still on the first level, I guess. I killed the spiders, found an unstable wall that i have thrown rocks at, tried to us a pole on, keys, tools, threw a skull at it, hit with a bone... and nothing happens. So I gave up on it.

Then I saved the other guy, killed the goblin lord and started to go upstairs, and it says.. click on the stair icon to change levels.

Only there is no stair icon anywhere that I can find. Please help! I love this game so far, but changing levels should be automatic...if not, at least not problematic.

You have to be in cursor mode, there should be a flashing icon in the upper right hand corner.

Adjanti, the unstable wall: first go up the elevator, as soon as you start walking you will see a minecart (or something like that). There is a pickaxe lying very close to the minecart. Grab it. Go back to the unstable wall, use the pickaxe, and then watch out, hehe. And Provis already explained about the stairs, there should be a flashing stairs icon in the upper right of the screen when you go a little ways up the stairt, when you see it, exit mouselook and click on the icon. I think they did this so that you would not accidently go up stairs that you did not intend to go up, like if you got backed into them during a fight....

Only demo had pickaxe, game is different.
   

There was a pickaxe there to smash wall in demo just atop the elevator. In the regular game, there is no pickaxe.

You will have to go to the human city to get one by merchant trader or whatever, then back track to smash wall. There is very little there? Seems like a buglet to me. Why such a run around, because by the time you get to the city, you really do not need that little experience killing a spider and getting one silly potion. The pickaxe should be put back in, unless they took it out if it can be used as a weapon...not in the book as one....go figure.

Pickaxe
   

The problem I had was the pick axe requires a STR level of about 13-14. Your right about having the axe there when you could use the potion and exp points. I'm in the Metor quest and still can't use the pickaxe. I use my exp points evenly so magic can be used later in the game.
