wow, the game looks totally amazing...i just didn't like the first person battle system thing that was shown in the gameplay movies..they should let you decide between first and third person view when fighting...but the whole world looks amazing..the towns and creatures, possibilities...i never liked rpg games because of the rotten random battles and turn based crap[IMO] gothic made my think about rpg another way...and now morrowind...it definetely looks promising..
Shrapnell...Giants; citizen kabuto definetely is a damn fine game..the humour in it...i laughed my freaking ass of alot ... the part where the mecc is having a talk with a fisherman at the bar, as if they were friends..and then all the sudden the Kabuto comes around..one mecc saying what the fuck is a kabuto..omfg i have to re-install that game again...havent even completed it yet...

Ok that screen shot you posted, this one:
http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/images/image24_800.jpg
thats the same screen shot showing you how NPCs can lead and follow others:
That SS is of a NPC guide that is escorting you to a new town, while that beast is following him. He's seen covering his face cause the sand is kicking up from everywhere(AI, gotta love it) And yes, this game is very much HIGH END on the NON-LINEAR gameplay
and yes Morrowind is from the people that brought DaggerFall...the same game that was the 1st to successfully simulate a real WORLD, with actual governments, different languages, class systems, a trade system in place where you could make your own spells, potions, weapons, etc etc. It may have been a little buggy, but what they were trying to accomplish was light years ahead of anyone at the time...looks like they are trying to do it again with the 3rd installment.
As for resources I have a: (dont hate)
P4 1.9GHz,
GeForce 3 Ti 500
512 MB PC800 RamBus memory
100 GB 7200rpm HDD
SoundBlaster XGamer 5.1
system I just built myself for Xmas, so Im more than ready to see what this game has to offer.
Final note on Giants: After you finish building the Reaper Base (and go on to become Kabuto) the game gets really easy.
The funniest part of that game to me comes right AFTER that bar scene, where everyone is yelling "TIIIMMMMMMMYYYYYYY" LOL, I was almost in tears seeing all that. Do you know those bastards at Planet Moon said they wont do a sequel Sad to see all these FPS that all look the same and then come out with sequel after sequel and when they finally make a game that breaks all molds, it never gets any press or acclaim for original thought *shrug*

Elder Scrolls = Daggerfall = Morrowind
same series, same company.
And according to their website, they are trying to make this the 100% end all best rpg to ever be made...should check out the website. It will make you start Xing off the days on your calendar until this is released.
And yea, this was going to be my choice over Gothic too (just because of the press/hype over it) Im glad this was delayed, although I knew once I played the Gothic Demo I was gonna get it regardless.
One main reason Gothic wont make the splash over here that it did it Germany is because of the themes. Think about:
Drug dealing
Drug using
Killing
Stealing
Robbing
Prisoners
Plots of betrayal
half-naked women
Now, to us gamers, we're all like :YES!!!!!
but to a US ratings board, they must be like:
hmmm, Gothic...(opens the box) what the HELL?
hehe, oh well, time to move to Germany |

you guys are missing the coolest part about morrowind. The tex editor. We'll be able to make our own quests npcs, weapons armor dungeons and lands. We can either add it to the already existing game or start from scratch its freaken amazing!! but right now gothic still rules |

Just buy the old game Outcast that was released some years ago and play it. It has the same atmosphere as Gothic and huge worlds. The only downsides is that the engine uses voxel graphics.
That's my thought... |

Redguard is a real cool pirate sword fighting adventure with hard to solve puzzles and riddles.
Unfortnetly hardware 3d support works only for voodoo cards. With any other card u have to use the software mode.
my tip: buy a voodoo 2 for 10 bucks and play the game with this card.
