Lester is staying in the Valley by the campfire in CH 1. I have searched these boards and the internet for a resaon or bug. I can't find a bug in Ch 1... so I am thinking there is something I haven't done. I DID read that you had to get into the upper city.. which I have DONE. 
When I talk to Xardas he says the same old thing and when I talk to Lester I have only one question for him.. which doesn't do anything.
Anyone have any info for me?

First of all, welcome to the Dot! 
Well, from what I remember Lester does not go to Xardas' Tower in Chapter 1, but you shall meet him there once Chapter 2 has started. He will be in the room next to Xardas' one, resting on the bed.
If I am wrong somebody please correct me, I don't remember checking in to the tower in Chapter 1. |

Thanks Pro... Well... he went to the tower the last TWO times I played...this is my third REstart. 
He goes there because he has to tell X about the shadew he saw.. and when you go there X gives you a ring... and Lester has his big butt in my bed. |

Well.... I am now in Chapter 2 and Lester is still sitting by the campfire 
Anyone know how to get him moving? <<Do I have to alter a file?

Why the heck do you even want him to move? The ring isn't that great. Lester goes to Xardas and sleeps in his bed after you have talked to him about the dragons etc., but soon enough Lester gets out of there (in chapter 2, IIRC) back to his campfire.
Spoiler:
In chapter 3 he will welcome you at the entrance of the mines, and in chapter five the guy will wait in front of Xardas' tower. That's all.

HI and THANKS for your reply... but I don't want the ring.. I just didn't want to run up against something later on... where I couldn't finish something because of something that happened in Ch 1.
