Does this one still exists? I've subscribed myself a certain time ago and it still says membership pending. I know i have to get invited, but the problem is how can I get invited.

It does very much exist, it's probably the most active group around here. But our mod Gig is away, so she can't check if someone have requested membership.

From a certain perspective, Yes. However, the very nature of the group mandates that necessity. If you don't approve of that, then it wouldn't be a group you'd consider applying to join.

heh, I can understand how you would desire to weed out certain people from joining. But that would not be my reason for having no desire to apply to your group. I wouldn't want to apply simply because of the hypocrisy of some of your members. That would make me uncomfortable. Thus, you'd never see me apply. Not that I could apply anyway since your invite-only. heh

As a junior member I can now explain a bit of this usergroup. You can see it as the Off Topic forum, but with only mature people in it. Mature in mind that is and not nescessarally in age. You won't find people over there who like spamming, etc. .

The invite-only allows us to hold our members to a slightly higher standard of behavior. We have our share of spam-ish threads, but at least we don't have to put up with members telling each other "Go f*** yourself".
@SAL- may I ask for some details about your accusation of hypocrisy?
