Looking for a developer's kit for Gothic

Hi.

Now that I've beat the game, I'm interested in creating a mod for it. Can anyone direct me to the website to a developer's kit (if that's what it's called) and anything else I may need to create mods for Gothic? Also any tutorials that may go with it would be greatly appreciated as it might be quite a bit of studying.

P.S. Although it isn't necessary at the moment, do they have a developer's kit out for Gothic 2 yet? (I have yet to play it of course still)

Thanks.

Hey there Anakin,

I see there are no replies! and for a "true blue"
But have no fear for Wulf is allways here

If you follow the Gothic link on this site. then jump to "modding" you will
find tutorials for script, level, spacer and models.

I would suggest doing some file swapping, texture manipulating and VDFS
extracting and building with existing mods to get you aware to various factors

At the Worldofgothic/de website there are some essential downloads which are in german but they soon become familiar with use.

I also use "Goman in conjunction with paintshop'pro for graphics swapping
A good text editer is Ultraedit32 and NicoVDFS is good you will soon find your
own liking as you progress.

And yes, you can now manipulate that fantastic Heavy Guards Armor just by
"juggling" files ect'

Good Luck, from Wulf the "cheat"

Thanks.

I successfully downloaded the developer's kit however I'm having problems getting Goman though. I tried downloading it at this site below:

http://www.worldofgothic.de/dl/index.php?go=downloads&release_id=30

However when I click on it, it won't download. I'm also having some problems downloading other files as well like NicoVDFS from the same site. When I try to download it, it just gives me a blank white screen.

In the meantime, I'll try to keep looking for it elsewhere.

Hey there Anakin.

I just checked the Goman dowload and it worked for me it took me to the site of Gamesweb.com then to downloads.

For the other stuff try http://www.bendlins.de/nico/gothic/

Hope you you see some utilities to help you.

It works now, I got it.

Thanks for the link.

It really didn't work before, I swear!

I reported the link after it failed... I have no idea if that did anything. Will take care of it from here, and thanks for your help.

Nico Bendlin has unofficial English mod tools, I think.
