Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion - Review @ Strategy Informer |
|
Strategy Informer has posted a review of Oblivion with a score of 9.2/10:
And my final criticism of a game I'm personally dubbing a 'near masterpiece' is that it's more similar to Morrowind (the previous TES game) than I might have hoped. Maybe I expected a revised skills system, maybe a system which breaks down the weapons into smaller categories, maybe some new schools of magic; I don't know the solution, I'm just plucking at straws because otherwise I have to give this game straight 10's and there's no way that's gonna happen.
|

Exactly because it's just a good revise is the reason for which I hopefully will play TES4 much more than Morrowind. It was just too clumsey in fight and magic. TES4 is the hit for me in the TES series! |

I've played all the ES games, except for the handheld/portable ones, and Oblivion is good. Not the best, but definitely much, much better then Morrowind.
I'd say it comes in second to Daggerfall. The high level combat needs tweaking (Over 20+) but overall, it's a hit in my book. |
