Golden Mod
   

We have made a small mod for Gothic 1 - Golden Mod.

- You can attack Free mine with guardsmen.
- You can work for bandits.
- You can walk in Abandoned mine.
- You can become a guru.
- You can learn alchemy.
- Other.

By bandits do you mean the thugs up north?

How far and what chapter to you have to get to join the Guru's?

Will it affect anything other than that you can use this new stuff? (e.g. does it make the game harder/easier, are there any new problems, ARE THERE BUGFIXES, etc.)

Thanks Nefarius!

Is there anything at the beginning of the game that I do to show the mod is installed correctly?

I just want to make sure I installed it right and don't end up playing all the way to Chapter 4 only to find I messed it up!

Mod doesn`t change the game`s banance, but you can get more experience points by working out new tasks.

Hi!

I'm happy and thanks to made this mode. It's real good. (I found that quest with Kyle, and the finish with mud was pretty funny ) And then some more stuffs i noticed thathe trade with Gorn... So there is only one problem with it... That is: Some kind of bug i was 6th lvl and i had 25 skill points. Then i completed every quests(to join the swamp camp(((to be a guru))) and some other quests) and when i have been a novice i had many skill points... about 17538472958. It is a bit much.. So i could learn anything what i wanted exept these: One handed sword lvl 2, (so no two handed sword... ) and magic circle 3. Could u repair this bug? It is very-very unpleasant.

Plz i must play gothic!!!! I'm sorry, but if i can't learn these skills, the game will be rather poor.... So plz tell me the game's fault?

If I want the English, do I only have to install the 750 KB one, or the german 1st and the English patch secnod?

Nerfarius, u didn't understand my problem.
The problem is i had about 17538472958exp!!!
But the biggest problem is: I couldn't learn one handed sword lvl 2 (so nor two handed ones) , and i couldn't learn magic circle lvl 3.
This happened when i have been a novice. May only this part is bugged, or this is a bug what appears everywhere?

You have to install the original russian version before english patch.

Maybe it`s only your`s problem. I`ll try to correct all errors after I make the Gothic: Prehistory mod.

ahhh.... Prehistory mod. sounds like good.
what will it about?
oh and thx for your help. BTW I'll make an own mode too when i'll have every stuffs i need to do it. (but i have plans with it... when i was playing gothic i tought it will happen, but it didn't. But I'll make it ) oh, and do u know a modelling system, what i can get???

Nefarius, thank you very much for your efforts. Anything that brings me back to gothic can only be a good thing
That being said, I am not sure I have the mod working properly. The gothic starter says I am loading Golden Mod v1.7eng (installed russian with eng conversion over top), but I am unable to see any differences ingame. I checked all around the abondoned mine but for the life of me can not find the winch that you speak of.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

when I marvin 'k' into the abondoned mine I get a loading screen and then blackness, which is the same as in the orignal game.
I installed the mod into my gothic directory and it is listed in the gothic starter so I dunno.
