| Qustion 'bout addon quest |

ok so im play the addon and im somewhere in chapter 2
and vatras said something about it being time for me to go through the portel the saturas and the others ..
so my qustion is is the addon quest just an optinal qust you can do anytime you like ? or do you have to go there and then return inorder to slay the dragons ?

nope actually it isnt the Primary nr 1 quest you need to solve u can still finish the game even by not entering the addon world at all but the quest is the PRIMARY quest for the gothic 2 addon if u wont finish that quest u can actually consider that u finished only Gothic 2 plain again and gothic 2 addon is still not finished. |

ah ok .. i came across some black ore in xadas's old tower in the vally .. whats up whit that ? and is there anymore then one lump ? .. sorry but as i said im not that far yet

Actually, you can NOT finish the main quest without finishing the add-on. Why? Because in chapter 3, when you are repairing the Eye of Innos, Vatras will tell you that he cannot go to the Circle of the Sun to do the ritual to recharge the eye, because he needs someone to take his place in the city. And that someone is Myxir of Water Mages, who is in Jharkendar, and he will NOT leave to Khorinis before you're done with the add-on.
Basically, you can play original game up to the point where the Eye of Innos is about to get fixed, and then go and do the add-on world, you don't have to go there too early if you think you need more levels and skills and whatever. But, you wont get to the end without dealing with Raven first

You can eat the black ore before you start fighting: the monsters around you will be moving in slow motion for a certain time, but your speed will be normal  |

yup i suggest you collect those kind of ores till valley of mines and then u use it there when u fight with orcs so they gonna be all in slow motion  |

No need to waste the ore on orcs. Rather save up and use on dragons, if you don't have high weapon skills and STR - dragons have a regen, which, with lower skill and STR, makes killing them quite pesky enterprise. Orcs, bah, they'll die anyway eventually, no need to waste good resources on bad targets

Spontaneously I remember only, that I found black ore also in the canyon of the Addon world, but there is more, as Deadalus said. Make time for searching wherever you are |

Black ore is very well hidden and always on spots, you would never expect to find it. I managed to collect 3 or 4 lumps together the last time I played and it was very useful against the Undead Dragon.. Speed potion + black ore makes wonders  |

managed to find an insert code insted .. so alleast now i wont run out of it .. but i think i'll try looking around for it anyway just for the hell of it .. and who knows what other weird things there are to be found ?
