I used to be pretty lost, but after I strolled through the demo wearing heavy paladins' armor and so on, I made a "map" in my head, and now I know most places.. just do the same if you feel *too* lost!

There's a map linked in the other forum, but I'll repeat it here:

http://gamesweb.com/pc/previews/g/gothic2/prev-index.php (click the first screenshot)

Looks similar to the G1 maps: a bit sketchy, so not necessarily as helpful as you'd like... but at least gives some idea.

Hey. I wonder, is the tavern and Allik's farm outside the demo area or what? (I'd only tried to leave it once, but I guess I did something wrong)

Yes it is.. basically, everything is outside the demoground.

To get out, stand near the lightpost near the two ladies who are outside.. you have to stand in a certain angle, and press action button, which will make you "teleport" through the demogroundbarrier, and near the lightpost which is outside the barrier..

I couldn't get the Lightpost to work, just pressing the "Action" button, but when I used the "Action" button + Jump, it worked like a charm! Might have just been acting up because I re-mapped some of my keys. Anyway, the best part of the demo's outside the "Official" bounderies!

So far, I've found 2 crossbows in the Gothic II demo, which one are you talking about? Where did you find it?

Also, yes, it's a lot of fun to play outside the official demoground! It's the biggest demo I've ever played!

I found that crossbow sort of near the Irrlict (sic) light thing. Go out the back gate of the city, head up the mountain to the lighthouse, go past it and past the shadowbeast's cave, try to stay to the left (near the cliff). After you journey a little way, you'll come across what looks like wrecked carts. There should be quite a few arrows and bolts lying around as well as skeletons. I found that crossbow in this area.

I've found something in the demo, could be a spoiler:)
If you eat/smoke more then one swampweed it effects you differently.I mean when the effect wears off then the screen
starts to "jump around" like hell.
But this could be a bug, because i've only played the demo so far.
Could somebody try it who have a full version.
