| ive gotten soo much help, but the game still wont work!!!!!! |

ok if someone can help me get this game started, then i will give them 13 cents! i downloaded the vdfsinit.zip, and i saved it into my gothic 2/system folder. i also unzipped it into my gothic 2/system folder. then 2 icons appear that say vdfs32e.exe. i believe ones german and ones english. ive been trying to get help before and someone told me to put the vdfs32e.exe file into "[GOTHIC2]\System\.(override/replace existing file)" but where in the world is that. there is nothing like that in my system folder. where the override/replace existing file? i dont know how to get there. i got my vdfs thing athttp://www.bendlins.de/nico/ someone help me please, i cant get the game started.

I donīt understand your problem with the VDFS file. You already mentioned the correct directory. The old file version was in there. Overwrite the file with the new version of VDFS32.exe.

After you do all the correct stuff with the Vdsf file, you should try to run the game and wait at least five minutes. The game will be listed as "not responding" under task manager for a couple minutes, but then it will start responding again and will run. That's what happened to me.

well i will try to start it, and the gothic 2 window pops up that says, loading, please wait, then after like 1 minute, it dissapears
