Gothic Story Cycle by Jabberwocky

Hello folks, Jabberwocky has written a cycle of three very nice Gothic stories:
The Journey Begins, A Malicious Welcome and The Savage World.
You'll find them over at GothicDot's Fan Story section:
Enjoy!

I read them and I loved them. Maybe those and other stories could be inculded in MODs or even in G3 as books. 'Tales of Khorins' or 'What really happened' or ' The colony: What you always wanted to know but never dared to ask' or 'Five mates and some swampweed' or 'There and back again'.

Not sure if I would bother reading it in-game, though. Always hated long books while playing. Then again, those books never tended not to be particularly well written.

Just an idea

Excellently written in a naturally flowing style which draws you in.

Maybe if/when? the complete game story was finished, my own point of view would be to have a downloadable acrobat/pdf type file, this is an easy way of
"collating" chapters etc' and can even throw-in the odd pic' say of uriziel at a chapters end, and similar.
It may then even turn out to be an rpgdot "best seller"

P.S - - - Jabberwocky, please complete this whole story, i would guess that everyone who has "played" would want to read it in detail.

Just red it. Indeed, it was really interesting reading it, since it was written really great. And as Wulf siad, it would be really great if you could continue with this story and finish it some day.

Keep up a great job man!

Wow, thanks a lot for the commendation. I will indeed try to keep them coming. That is, of course, until I get NOTR and start using my free time to actually PLAY the game again!

@ Gorn's best mate: I never thought of that but I really like the idea of making all of these fanfics in-game 'books'. I'm like you though, I never spend time reading those, but I'm sure somebody does!

@Wulf: I also like the Acrobat idea. I'll see what I can come up with.

Sweet! That's a really good story and half of it I didn't even know Well I think you shoudl write the rest of the story inside the barrier and make it from the Old Camp's view since that makes more sense. Can't wait to read more of it keep up the good work!

Those are all great stories... If I may add, I'd kinda prefer it to be split into bigger groups (ie. one story - several pages) so that it doesn't take too much space. BTW, it would be great if the story actually went through whole of Gothic I and II, through thats probably an ENOURMOUS task... especially so at the pace you've chosen to writa at...

Still, take your time and keep the excellent quality.

Actually, that WAS the plan - to go through the entire Gothic saga. Given my time limitations I don't think I'll make it that far however. As for the story length, I work on one rather large file for the whole book, but since it takes me a while to get each chapter finished, I figured it would be better to break them up rather than keep everyone waiting.

Very well done, indeed. Although, the choice of writting about something that each player lived to see on his own account, and in his own way is sort of delicate. But, don't let you be discouraged by my destructive criticism.

It's possible to condense the chapters once you're done .
